OBJECTIVE
The WICEPs MOOC aim to equip VET trainers to provide specialist learning content to women working or interested in a career in the construction to help career progression & development of females in this industry. The resources target the needs of women in the industry but through VET organizations & wider education providers across Europe as an online resource.
They cover industry-specific issues putting attention to the needs and conditions to entering this field, role of women in construction industry, the career progression possibilities, communication and assertiveness, as well as understanding new technology solutions & trends in construction and opportunities to develop innovative businesses based on the knowledge and experience gained.
For the Vocational Education and Training institutions and wider education providers WICEPS aims to inform about the state of the construction industry and the role of women as a workforce. The prepared resources should educate how women can take an active position in construction industry and which specific competences can be developed to support and discover their potential. With the use of practical workbook VET trainers and other education providers should be able to train female workforce groups to be an active participants of construction industry.
For women in the construction industry, the prepared resources and participation in trainings should be an inspiration to encourage and support the inclusion and visibility of more women in the construction industry. Women will be empowered to work in construction and set about enabling conditions to allow women to thrive and develop their careers.
The project is a collaborative effort between two partners from Ireland and Spain with the strategic objective of empowering, developing competences and transmitting a sense of belonging to the female workforce through online training initiatives, innovative teaching methodologies and mentoring programmes.
Future Cast:
Future Cast is an Innovation, Education, and R&D centre focussed on the Construction and Quarrying industries. We work with companies in these sectors and throughout their manufacturing supply chains on projects to increase the adoption of advanced technology and processes. We are a non-profit organisation with a remit to research and disseminate technologies in Industry 4.0 to our member companies. We help solve pressing issues with our accumulated knowledge and expertise in industries automation, innovation, and funding.
Asociación Building Bridges:
Asociación Building Bridges Cultural Association was founded in 2008 to promote a spirit and community integration and to foster European culture awareness among the youth. Building Bridges is presented at local level as a tool to assist and support the implementation of non formal education courses and improving knowledge of European labour system practices. They organise courses, visits and meetings, European events for public agencies on policies concerning youth, mobility, sports , local economic development , culture and cooperation with developing countries. n actors of the European future.
